Each morning, just as the forest awakens to a new day, Daniel likes to take a few minutes to enjoy the quiet as he knows he will be needed, yet again, in the busy little world of Willow Hollow. The elfs in this enchanted little village are quite a handful for any angel to watch over and try to keep out of too much trouble! But Daniel wouldn't live anywhere else, for although they are a mischievous lot they are quite the sweetest bunch of elves around!

Daniel's Description

Not often do we get a glimpse of an angel elf but today we are quite fortunate! Living in the enchanted forests of Willow Hollow is sweet little Daniel. This piece measures 6 1/4” tall, 5 1/2” long and approximately 7 1/2” wide. Daniel is a one-of-a-kind little elf (no molds are ever used during the creation of Lil Darlin's) whose tiny angel body is sculpted entirely of polymer clay. Daniel is permanently affixed to his small, weathered, wooden and metal bench which is decorated with reindeer moss along with a sprinkling of tiny flowers. After Daniel’s head, hands and feet (including legs up past his knees) have been baked, they are given a rosy hue with oil paints followed by an overall wash of a dark acrylic color, allowing for his many fine details to appear. These details include brown, hand painted eyes, graying (and balding!) hair and eyebrows of wool fleece, plenty of life lines in his aging face, angel wings created from feathers, crossed legs at the ankles, not to mention his little fingernails and toenails. His robes are fabricated from thinly rolled clay, draped and layered around his tiny angel body, leaving his hands, legs and those little bare feet exposed. Daniel is accompanied by a 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” printed, appropriately designed, story card depicting his one-of-a-kind tale in this whimsical forest, along with a wooden card holder to display his story along side him where ever he happens to be resting.
As with all Lil Darlin's made entirely of clay, this piece is signed by the artist.
