Known as the dream weaver, Iago will sneak into your dreams at night and take you on a wonderfully mystical flight thru the enchanted forests of Willow Hollow – of course you will need to be a believer in all things magical! Now the simple fact that Iago is an elf, you can be sure that sometimes the journey might take a rather, shall we say, extraordinary turn. You may find yourself floating along on the wings of a fairy sprinkling her ever magical fairy dust or traveling upon the back of a toad as he hops thru the forests looking for the perfect lily pad to spend his evening croaking out his nightly symphony. Let’s not forget that ever elusive troll that may come awake as you traverse the night and unknowingly cross his path. Your journey, however eccentric it may be, will leave you quite delighted with the rising of the morning sun. You may not even remember, come morning, you were so blissfully transported to a forest where humans are rarely seen and hardly ever allowed to journey.

Iago's Description

If you have ever wished to go on a fantasy journey thru an enchanted forest, Iago is the elf to know. He can take you on a journey you won’t soon forget. Sitting on his little wooden bench (measuring 3 ¼” tall and 5 ½” long), Iago is all of 9 ¾” tall (approximately 12” if standing), but has a most commanding presence in the enchanted forest of Willow Hollow – not to mention your dreams! Sculpted entirely of polymer clay (except his wooden bench of course!), Iago is a one-of-a-kind as are all Lil Darlin’s. No molds are ever used in the creation of Lil Darlin's of Willow Hollow, and none made of the originals afterwards. After the initial sculpt of his head, and other body parts, he is baked, then given a rosy glow with oil paints followed by a wash of a dark acrylic paint to enhance his many fine details such as all those life and laugh lines. Once he’s dressed in his clay robes (created with thinly rolled colored clay) and elfin hat, he is baked a final time and permanently attached to his little bench. Iago’s other details include brown, glass eyes, a rather substantial nose (as most elfs surely have) , pointy elfin ears, a toothy smile along with his tiny fingernails and toenails.
An appropriately fashioned, 5 ½” by 4 ¼” story card telling of his special gift accompanies Iago along with a small, wooden card holder to display along side of Iago for all to enjoy and maybe lose themselves in his fantasy world for just a bit.
As with all Lil Darlin's made entirely of clay, this piece is signed by the artist.
