While all enchanted forests have their fair share of elves, fairies, sprites and all manner of whimsical creatures, they also boast the requisite number of trolls. Lars is just such a troll – and not a very happy one either. But then you probably wouldn’t be either if you were given the title of ‘troll’. In all fairness, little Lars is really quite the nicest troll you’ll ever chance too meet. At the moment his grumpiness stems not from being known as a troll but more from the fact he has just been ‘jostled’ awake from his afternoon nap by a couple of frolicking elves romping through the forest of Willow Hollow. (He really must find a more secluded spot!)

Lar's Description

Trolls! Every enchanted forest has them but those found in Willow Hollow are quite nice indeed. Lars stands approximately 6 1/2” tall (not including his mass of wild hair!) and is a one-of-a-kind, sculpted entirely of polymer clay - no molds are ever used in the creation of Lil Darlin's. This little troll has blue glass eyes, wild and woolly brown and gray hair, along with goatee, stands on his own and has a rather disgruntled look on his face. After his initial baking, his skin is given a rosy hue with oil paints followed by an overall wash with a dark acrylic paint having the effect of showing his many details including laugh (as well as frown) lines, along with hand and feet detailing (such as toenails and fingernails!). While his head, hands and feet are sculpted from clay, his robes are thinly rolled sheets of colored clay draped and layered around his body leaving his hands and feet exposed (no self-respecting elf, or troll, would be caught wearing shoes afterall!). Along with Lars is his personal tale of life in Willow Hollow printed on a 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” appropriately fashioned story card. With a small wooden card holder it is very convenient to place his little tale next to him where ever he is currently being ... grumpy of course!
