Hidden deep in the forest, in a small and charming village known as Willow Hollow, is the home of Nigel, a forest elder. He's just returned from a long and arduous journey to the far side of the forest and back (which can be quite a daunting distance considering his size!). It's a trip he makes twice yearly to visit one of his oldest and dearest friends - they are as close as brothers, growing up together in the same small village. But many years ago, far too many for either of them to remember, Nigel, always the more adventurous one, headed out on a journey that eventually brought him to Willow Hollow where he has made his home, enjoying all the wonderful, whimsical creatures throughout the forest.

Nigel's Description

Standing 7” tall, Nigel is one of Willow Hollow’s village elders, being one of the oldest elves in the forest. Granted, not just a few of the elves, and trolls alike, look much older than Nigel, he is never-the-less, centuries old! With hand painted dark brown eyes, graying (and balding) hair and eyebrows of wool fleece, smaller than normal elf ears and an open mouth showing teeth, this tiny elf is quite sweet indeed. Nigel, who stands alone, is entirely sculpted of polymer clay and is a one-of-a-kind as Lil Darlin's are never made from molds! After the initial sculpting of his head, hands and feet, and his first baking, he is given a rosy hue with oil paints followed by an overall wash of a dark acrylic color giving him a life like appearance. He has plenty of detail in his hands and feet including fingernails and toenails. Nigel’s robes are created from thinly rolled clay, draped and layered around his body and the entire piece is baked a final time. This little elf has his own personal (not mention one-of-a-kind) tale of life in Willow Hollow and is printed on an appropriately designed 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” card which is accompanied by a small, wooden card holder for easy display.
As with all Lil Darlin's made entirely of clay, this piece is signed by the artist.
