A BareFoot Christmas Elf Description

Happy as a lark, this little elf sits on a wooden bench (4 ¾” tall, 5 ¼ deep, 7 ½” wide) that’s just a bit too big for him to reach the ground – oh the problems little Santa Elfs must endure! But, from the look of his cheery little demeanor he really doesn’t mind. Afterall, the perks of being a Christmas Elf far outweigh the small inconveniences his size might create.
He is dressed this day in his favorite red flannel knickers with matching scarf and Santa hat, both of which are topped off with rusty jingle bells – a requirement of most all of Santa’s Elfs (they’re not always so easy to keep track of and the jingle of their bells alerts all of the approaching little elfs). His warm, taupe colored, faux suede shirt with red buttons is tucked into his gathered knickers and tied off with a twisted black cord – it just wouldn’t do to have your knickers falling down as you are racing about Santas workshop!
This Christmas Elf is an original, one-of-a-kind Lil Darlin’ Original that sits 14” tall (approximately 16” when standing). After the sculpting process and required baking and painting, his head, hands and feet were then attached to a wire armature (which allows for limited posing) that has been padded with batting and covered in a knit “skin”. His many details include a bit of 100% wool hair peeking out from under his hat, brown glass eyes, plenty of facial detailing such as his open and smiling mouth and lots of laugh lines elf’s are known for, and lets not forget his hands and little bare feet! No molds are ever used in the creation of Lil Darlin’s and none were made of the original afterwards. And, finally, he has been signed and dated for authenticity by the artist on his back, just under his shirt.
