Father Time Description

Father Time travels in style in his sleigh of wicker and black, twisted wire (14" tall, 16" long, 6" wide). Contoured to fit the sleighs interior, he sits atop a full length body pillow of brown and black checked wool that has been stuffed with plenty of soft polyfil. When your travels take you around the world as his does comfort is high on your priority list! So its no surprise he also carries in his sleigh a warm, wool blanket (11 ¼” x 14 ½”) trimmed with black piping. His black and tan checked, linen, button up shirt is tucked into a pair of brown wool pants held up with brown, faux leather suspenders with small black button accents. His hooded, fully lined and full length coat, trimmed in Chinese Braid, is made from the same wool fabric as his pants. And no Father Time would be complete without his brown leather satchel slung over his shoulder.
This piece is an original, one-of-a-kind polymer clay sculpt that stands 20 1/2" tall (when not seated in his sleigh). His finely detailed facial features including brown glass eyes, laugh and life lines, 100% multi colored grey wool hair, eyebrows, mustache and beard, gives him a look of old world charm. Once sculpting is complete on his head, hands and feet, they are baked and then painted with acrylic and oils which gives him his life-like appeal. His clay head, hands and feet are then attached to a padded, wire armature, covered with a knit fabric "skin", which allows for limited posing. As with all Lil Darlin’s no molds are ever used in their creation and none made of the original afterwards. He is signed and dated by the artist for authenticity on his back, just under his shirt.
