Mooney's Story
A Lil Darlin' Original Art Doll
Meet Mooney. He's on a very important mission (though currently taking a well deserved break) and determined to be sure! You see, he has fallen in love with a sweet little elfette who says she cannot give her heart to him until he can deliver to her a beautiful and magical butterfly found only in the enchanted forest of Willow Hollow. Unfortunately, Mooney has been terribly unlucky in his quest for the perfect (or any!) butterfly. Unbeknownst to him, the butterflies are having a great time fluttering just out of reach of his net though they hardly find much challenge in it. He may be completely determined yet he is wholly unskilled when it comes to netting these winged creatures. Do not despair though, however daunting the task, Mooney -and love- will persevere.

Mooney Description
Resting for a short while on a piece of driftwood covered in reindeer moss and latex, as well as silk, flowers and leaves, is a sweet, yet somewhat frustrated little elf. You see, Mooney, holding his long, wooden handled butterfly net, has been searching high and low for, what else, a butterfly! It’s a shame he hasn’t looked over his shoulder, for there he would spot just such a winged creature (created from painted metal) sitting just out of reach! Mooney is sculpted entirely of polymer clay and is a one-of-a-kind - since no molds are allowed in the enchanted and whimsical forests of Willow Hollow! After his head, arms and legs are initially baked they are given a rosy hue with oil paints, followed by a wash of a dark acrylic color, allowing his many details to come to life. Among these details are his brown glass eyes, rather large (yet cute!) nose, an open mouth with just a glimpse of his tongue, bald little head, those pesky laugh, as well as life, lines, along with toenails (on tiny little bare feet of course) and fingernails. His robes are created from thinly rolled clay layered and draped around his tiny elfkin body. This piece measures 6” tall, 11 1/2” long and 9” wide, with Mooney permanently attached to his comfortable little seat. Along with Mooney is a printed, appropriately designed, story card measuring 5 1/2” by 4 1/4”, depicting his unique circumstances (one-of-a-kind of course!) in this whimsical world. And allowing for ease of displaying his entertaining tale, included is a small wooden card holder.
As with all Lil Darlin's made entirely of clay, this piece is signed by the artist.

As with all Lil Darlin’ Art Dolls, this is a One-of-A-kind piece. No molds were used in the creation of Mooney
and none made of the original afterwards. This piece has been signed and dated.
