Sledding Grandpa's Story
A Lil Darlin' Original Art Doll
There's no slowing grandpa down! He has as much fun sledding down the neighborhood hills as the grandkids do...although later while the grandkids are gulping down cups of hot cocoa and checking tomorrows forecast hoping for yet another snow day tomorrow, grandpa is downing ibuprofen and easing aching muscles with heating pads that grandma has prepared in advance (who knows grandpa better?!). While his childhood years may be decades behind him he remains young at heart and there seems no stopping this little old geezer. And the grandkids...well their grandpa is the coolest grandpa in the whole neighborhood! His dare-devil like speeds down the steepest hill in the neighborhood lends him an air of idol like status among the youngsters lucky enough to witness his prowess in person. Grandma is actually dreading the end of winter...grandpa has decided to try his skills at skateboarding come spring!

Sledding Grandpa's Description
Sledding Grandpa measures 15 1/2" while seated on his wooden and metal sleigh - he is 24" tall if standing. With a warm, red knit, turtleneck sweater and matching hat (that grandma insists on him wearing!) along with his heavy blue jeans and red, white and black plaid berber jacket, grandpa is dressed for sledding - and the occasional snow-ball fight that will almost always spontaneously erupt! Grandpa's head, hands and boots are hand sculpted from ProSculpt polymer clay that has been baked, painted with oils and acrylics, giving Grandpa his realistic look, and then attached to a padded, wire armature body, covered in a "knit skin", all of which gives him limited posing. His sweet little face contains twinkling, brown glass eyes, and plenty of wrinkles giving him warmth and personality and a puff of white, 100% wool hair tops off his aged look. Plenty of details can also be found in his expression.

As with all Lil Darlin’ Art Dolls, this is a One-of-A-kind piece. No molds were used in the creation
of Sledding Grandpa and none made of the original afterwards. This piece has been signed, dated,
numbered 1 of 1 and comes with a signed Photo Certificate of Authenticity.
