Thackeray's Story
A Lil Darlin' Original Art Doll
Thackeray always enjoys preparations for the Christmas Holiday. Appreciating a bit of down time, Thackeray delights in his latest creation - a wreath of "woodsy" objects he's collected on his walks through the forests while visiting his many woodland friends. He'll hang this special Christmas wreath on his door, inviting all who stop by for some seasonal celebrations. In the mean time, sitting by the fire and reminiscing of past holiday seasons always brings such joy to his life! This one will, not doubt, be added as yet one more joyful holiday to rejoice in. But for now, it's time to set aside these pleasant memories. There's plenty yet to be done before this night's festivities can begin - the wreath may be ready but the Christmas Tree has yet to be found and, with the hint of snow in the air, it's time to head out into the forest searching for that perfect tree!

Thackeray's Description
Standing 21" tall - 17 1/2" seated. Thackeray is enjoying the preparations for his Christmas Holiday. He's currently taking a short rest in his twig rocker that measures 10" tall, 9" wide & 10 1/4" long. He holds a reindeer moss covered grapevine wreath, decorated with red berries, pinecones and cinnamon sticks. Thackeray is wearing a cream and tan striped, linen, button up shirt, tucked into a pair of brown and black wool, checked pants. A heavy, tan colored, berber, hooded coat - fully lined for those cold winter months and held closed with a braided fiber cord - and a brown and black neck scarf help to keep him oh so warm! Among his many details you will see are his green glass eyes, plenty of 100% wool hair, and eyebrows, a very expressive face with all manner of laugh and life lines and his very detailed hands and feet. Hand sculpted from ProSculpt his head, hands and little bare feet have been attached to a padded wire armature body (allowing for very limited posing) and covered with a "knit" skin after being painted with acrylic and oil paints for a very realistic look.

As with all Lil Darlin’ Art Dolls, this is a One-of-A-kind piece. No molds were used in the creation
of Thackeray and none made of the original afterwards. This piece has been signed, dated,
numbered 1 of 1 and comes with a signed Photo Certificate of Authenticity.
