Every Lil Darlin' Original Art Doll is a one-of-a-kind sculpt and the Santa's and Santa's Elves you find below in the gallery are no exception! They are each created with hand sculpted head, hands and feet of polymer clay which are then attached to soft bodies with interior wire armatures for posing possibilities. There are no molds ever used during the sculpting process and no molds created of the original afterwards, assuring that each piece is unique and a true one-of-a-kind. The following Bare-Foot Santa and Bare-Foot Santa Elf Series were aptly named – they are all barefoot of course! The fun I derive from creating their cute little bare feet – especially those toes! - just couldn’t be denied by covering them up with boots or any other form of footwear. I decided to create a line that would, instead, celebrate the enjoyment and freedom experienced by those of us who know the joy of shedding shoes and socks and running barefoot through – OK, I just love sculpting their bare little feet!! Hopefully you will enjoy these eccentric little Santa’s and Elves, just as much as they seem to be enjoying their barefoot freedom. And for those who prefer a more traditional look, there are additional series that include boots of cloth as well as those of clay.
