He may look shy (hence the name he is so fondly known as) but don't be fooled - Shyy is one of the more spirited little elves found in Willow Hollow - oh, and several human dwellings as well (he does get around!). He's a quick little fellow and is hardly ever seen but you can hear the tinkle of his tiny bell if you listen very carefully. Elves are, by their very nature, pranksters and tricksters, with little Shyy being of no exception. But the mischief Shyy gets into, though usually all in fun and, for the most part, harmless, is most times quite bothersome. This mischief is not contained to his fellow elves but those humans he does so love to visit. Kitchens being his favorite, he'll tramp little elf footprints across your counters (flour and chocolate being his favorite means), add extra coffee grounds to your morning cup of coffee (leaving you to think your coffee maker is on the blink) and ever wonder why, no matter how many times you call a repair man, your faucet just will not stop dripping?

Shyy's Description

Don’t be fooled by his shy looks - little Shyy is anything but! Being an elf (approximately 7 1/2” seated) in the enchanted forests of Willow Hollow, Shyy is a one-of-a-kind creation with head, hands and feet - as well as legs up past his bent knees - sculpted from polymer clay (no molds are ever used with Lil Darlins’!). He has a soft cloth body firmly stuffed with button joints at the shoulders and hips with hand sewn joints at the elbows. With soulful blue glass eyes, large elfkin ears, his somewhat oddly shaped nose, plenty of - what Shyy prefers to think of as - “character lines about his sweet face”, along with fingernails and toenails, this little fellow just melts your heart! His hat, shirt and pants are made from soft micro suede - he believes his choice of a red shirt with a pair of brown pants and matching hat, are quite stunning, being the fashion conscience elf that he is. A small jingle bell is attached to the end of his hat as well as the sash of mixed fibers he wears around his waist - as with most elves, Shyy doesn’t want to take the chance of losing his pants while frolicking through the enchanted forest - hence the sash! He has bent knees making it very easy to set him on his small, rustic twig stool that accompanies him. It is draped with soft, dark brown leather with a top layer of a lighter brown cotton cloth - all of which is securely tied with jute. Little Shyy comes complete with a 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” card depicting his life in the enchanted forest of Willow Hollow and a small brown wooden holder so it can be displayed next to him where others can read and enjoy his tale.
