Thackeray Description
Standing 21” tall – 17 ½” seated – Thackeray is enjoying the preparations for his Christmas Holiday. Taking a short rest in his twig rocker (10” tall, 9” wide & 10 ¼” long), he holds his latest find – a reindeer moss covered, grapevine wreath, decorated with red berries, pinecones and cinnamon sticks – which he plans to hang on his front door as a welcome to all his forest friends. Christmas is his favorite holiday and roaming the forest for his woodsy trimmings keeps Thackeray quite busy and dressing warmly is a necessity! He wears a cream and tan, striped, linen, button up shirt, tucked into a pair of brown and black checked, wool pants. A heavy, tan colored, berber, hooded coat – fully lined for those cold winter months and held closed with a braided fiber cord – and a brown and black neck scarf help to keep Thackeray plenty warm.
This Lil Darlin’ is an original, one-of-a-kind art doll – no molds were used in it’s creation and none made of the original afterwards. Among his many details you will see are his green glass eyes, plenty of 100% wool hair and eyebrows, a very expressive face with all manner of laugh and life lines and his very detailed hands and feet.
After sculpting and baking Thackeray's clay head, hands and feet, they are then painted with acrylics and oils to give them their life-like appearance, after which these parts are attached to a wire armature that has been padded with batting and covered in a knit skin - all of which gives Thackeray limited posing abilities. Thackeray has been signed and dated by the artist for authenticity on his back, just under his shirt.

As with all Lil Darlin’ Art Dolls, this is a One-Of-A-Kind. No molds were used in Thackeray's creation and none made of the original afterwards. This piece has been signed, dated for authenticity, numbered 1 of 1 and comes with a signed, Photo Certificate of Authenticity.
