If you have never
experienced for yourself the wonderful art form of Reborn Baby Dolls,
you are surely missing out on something very special! And it truly is an
art form that has transformed doll making, and doll collecting, into an
area that, until recently, was simply child’s play. Mass produced
children's dolls simply cannot compare to the detail and realistic
features of what the art of reborning has been able to achieve. For
those that do reborning themselves, or collect these wonderful babies,
you know for yourselves this relatively new art form is something so
very special.
The baby’s you will find in the Gallery below, and their respective
pages, are all vinyl reborn dolls. They all start with the best vinyl
heads, arms and legs which I lovingly and patiently hand paint with
numerous coats of Genesis Heat Set Paints. They have been fashioned with
wonderfully soft, doe skin bodies, weighted for a realistic sense and
feel of a true baby. I have used extremely soft and high grade mohair
for micro rooting each baby’s little head and in the case of closed
eyes, their eyelashes as well.
