New Items Looming On The Horizon:
For some of you who've previously visited the Lil Darlin' Originals
site (before it received it's much needed new look!) you may have
noticed several new buttons at the top of the page to click on.
While I've already added some new items, I'm in the process of adding
still more so I
hope you will be patient with me!
The
Old Geezers desperately need some Lady Friends ... and what little old
men don't after all! While these little ladies pose a bit of a
challenge for me (you may have noticed that Lil Darlin's aren't the
"prettiest" of creatures) I do hope to have some complete
soon!
Hopefully they will put smiles on some of those little old men upon
their arrival!
One
of my favorite new items are the Hanging Elf Ornaments. These
little guys can hang from your Christmas tree or just
sit on your mantle! They can keep you company while you prepare
that great holiday feast or sit by your side while you read a good book.
They make the perfect hostess gifts during the Holiday
Season and, as always, they are one-of-a-kind pieces so your
Christmas
decorations, and gifts, will always be ever so unique!
Along with Hanging Elf Ornaments I am in the process of creating
Santa Ornaments that will make their debut in October 2011 at An
Affair Of The Heart Show in Oklahoma City, OK. They will consist
of a hand sculpted and decorated Santa head with a flat back so they can
be hung on your Christmas tree or on any flat surface. You will be
able to see them under the tab "Santa's & Elves" as soon as they
are complete.
As
fabric is also a great medium for creating dolls, not to mention a
medium that I truly enjoy working with, I'm in the process of developing
a line of Cloth Dolls. These little ladies will be, for me,
a fun foray into the joys of working with all types of fabric, paints
and colored pencils, needle sculpture, as well as designing body styles.
While I have previously ventured into the area of creating one-of-a-kind
purses, and thoroughly enjoyed the process, I've found that what women
are really looking for are some really great totes, myself included!
So with Fashion Totes & Accessories I've decided to
concentrate on designing very functional (lots of pockets inside and
out), and at the same time fun as well as fashionable (with the use of
great fabrics), totes!
I hope you've enjoyed your trip
through the world of LaJuana's Originals!
Please check back often as new designs, series and all manner of
whimsical creatures are always emerging from my studio in beautiful
downtown Andover, Kansas.
