Each
and every Lil Darlin’s Willow Hollow Elves, also known as Soft Body Art
Doll's, are an original, one-of-a-kind clay sculpt. Lil Darlin’s come
not only as full sculpts but some are created with head, hands and feet
of sculpted clay, which are then attached to a cloth body – some with,
and some without, a wire armature, just as those shown on this page.
Those with a wire armature allow for posing and are usually larger in
stature. For the soft bodies on this page without an interior wire
armature, they are designed with button joints at the shoulders and hips
and sewn joints at the elbows and knees. There are no molds ever used
during the sculpting process and no molds created of the original
afterwards, assuring that each piece is unique and a true one-of-a-kind.
Each Lil Darlin’ is named and a story unique to that piece is created. I
hope you enjoy your visit to Willow Hollow and the introduction to some
of the enchanted forests more distinctive, and always charming,
characters.
