Baylor's Story
A Little
Darlin' Original Art Doll
It's been such a long day of travel (by foot no less!) This tiny
pond looked so delightful Baylor just couldn't resist taking a well
deserved rest under the shade of the lily pad leaf and soaking his poor,
tired feet. Baylor will need to be moving on soon though - he's very
determined to make it home before dark. Enchanted forest or not, Willow
Hollow does boast it's fair share of those ornery little trolls. They
enjoy nothing more than chasing little elves (especially those out alone
after dark!) for if caught by a troll it's whispered (for saying it out
loud is far too frightening to even imagine!) that the unfortunate
little elf will himself turn into a troll and will forever be lost to
his family and friends.

Baylor's
Description
Ahh, resting at last! Baylor, a tiny elf who makes his home in the
enchanted forest of Willow Hollow, takes a short break from his travels.
Sitting on his tiny, well used and weathered looking red, wooden
suitcase, Baylor cools his feet in a small pond created from acrylic
water. The base and pond enclosure are wooden while the flowers and
leaves decorating the pond are cloth/silk with reindeer moss scattered
liberally throughout. While most of the flowers are attached to the
piece around the outside of the pond some are floating along (actually
encased in) the “waters” surface as are Baylor’s feet - what better way
to cool little feet tired from a whole days travels! Of course cooling
ones feet in a refreshing looking pond is even better if you can do so
under the shade of a lily pad leaf - attached directly to the wooden
base. There are a few lingering drops of water atop the leaf - sprinkles
from an afternoon shower which keeps the forest so green and lush. This
little elf has hand sculpted head, hands and feet (including legs to
just above the knees) from polymer clay - no molds are ever used with
the creation of Lil Darlins’! He has very merry blue, glass eyes, rather
large ears (typical of most elves!), a rather pronounced nose - even
fingernails and toenails! He sports plenty of wrinkles - but then little
Baylor has been around for many, many years! He is dressed in a soft,
green micro suede shirt along with soft, dark brown micro suede pants
(that reach just above the knee) and hat (attached to his tiny, bald
head) which bears a single jingle bell (that’s how you can tell you are
in an enchanted forest versus a regular one - ever thought you heard a
faint jingle?). Tied around his waist is a fiber sash with another
single jingle bell. (While elves are rather fond of the sound of these
bells they can be rather burdensome as they will, at times, attract the
attention of those somewhat troublesome trolls found in Willow Hollow!)
This overall piece measures approximately 12” tall, 13” long and 9” wide
(although Baylor himself is approximately 10” when standing, he is
permanently positioned in a sitting pose atop his suitcase). Baylor is
accompanied by a printed 5 1/2” by 4 1/4” appropriately designed card
telling his own personal tale. This card also comes with a small, wooden
card holder making display easy and convenient.

As with all Lil Darlin’ Art Dolls, this is a One-of-A-kind piece. No
molds were used in the creation of Baylor
and none made of the
original afterwards. This piece has been signed, dated, numbered 1 of 1
and comes with a signed Photo Certificate of Authenticity.
